This guide will help you check the date, time, and location of your next hearing in Immigration Court using your “A” Number.

1. Find Your "A" Number
The "A" Number is a personal identifier assigned by U.S. immigration authorities to foreign nationals involved in immigration proceedings.
- It begins with the letter “A”, followed by 8 or 9 numeric digits.
- Do not include the letter “A” when entering it in digital systems.
- If your number has 8 digits, add a zero (0) in front to complete the required 9 digits.
Example:
Number on document: A12345678
Number to enter: 012345678
Where to Find Your "A" Number?
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), specifically U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), issues the Alien Registration Number, also known as the "A" Number or A#.
This unique identifier is assigned to non-U.S. citizens for immigration purposes and can be found on official immigration documents. If you cannot locate it, please contact your case team for assistance.

2. Access the Immigration Court Online System (EOIR)
To check your case:
- Go to the website of the 🔗 Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) (Please read this guide carefully before accessing this link)*.
- Accept the disclaimer by clicking "I Accept ".
- Enter your “A” Number (only the 9 digits, no letters, spaces, or symbols).
- Click "Submit" to view your case details.
It is crucial to enter the number correctly to access updated information about your case.

3. Check Your Case Details
Once you enter your number, the system will display automated information about your case . You will be able to verify:
- Date and time of your next hearing
- Location of the hearing and assigned court
- Name of the assigned judge
- History of decisions or judicial motions
- Information about appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA)
- Court contact details: address, phone number, etc.
